Queen Kelly’s Ice Cream Hightea

The night before leaving China at the end of April 2013, le bf and I decided to splurge and have dinner at the Häagen-Dazs® store in Wanda Plaza, the mall near where we lived in Ningbo. We’ve chosen what we wanted to order weeks ago, their new promoted spring product: Queen Kelly’s Ice Cream Hightea Set.

Tea of our choice: Peach passion fruit

We chose raspberry passion fruit tea which was a pretty pink color

It was a pretty pink color (:

Conclusion:
Though it might not look like it, the portions were quite big and enough to replace dinner for the two of us. My favorite was probably the top layer, we split all the ice cream so I got to try every flavor, and all of them were amazing (well, Häagen-Dazs® IS famous for ice cream)! The white chocolate from the jewelry box was pretty tasteless though, I suppose it’s mostly just for decoration. The middle layer was good too, I liked how most items were came in pairs so it was easy to share (otherwise a fight might have broke out between me and le bf lol). And the chicken mushroom quiche, which was the only salty item in the entire set, was surprisingly tasty. As for the bottom layer, since I’m a big fan of fruits, and especially blueberries, for me it was the perfect way to finish off the lovely meal.
I think this set is only a limited summer product in China, since I couldn’t find any information on it on Häagen-Dazs®’s official website. I highly recommend anyone who has the chance to go and try it in China, though it is a bit pricey, the store atmosphere is quite nice, and having high tea always makes me feel like an extravagant, elegant English lady (:

le bf: "Can I eat yet?" me: "NO! I gotta take pics of the pretty food"

Typical us:
le bf: “Can I eat yet?”
me: “NO! I gotta take pics of the pretty food.”

I was a happy camper :D

Oh boy was I a happy camper

Have a lovely omnomnom adventure guys (:

Finally 22!

Since my birthday was on a Monday, I had all my celebrations on the weekend before.
Sadly I had to spend the day in class and working on computer science assignments :(
Nevertheless, le parfait bf managed to surprise me with this beautiful chocolate heart from Le Cacaotier, brought all the way from Paris!

It looks so sophisticated, I’ve only allowed him and myself to eat some of the small pieces from inside so far (typical me, I just love looking at pretty food lol).More on my birthday party and trip to Niagara later! :)

I had the most delicious tiramisu and cheese cake at this cute vintage coffee shop called Brûlerie St-Denis on Côte-des-Neiges:

I miss real food like this now that I’m back to school :(

I just saw a RAT running across the floor at work.

Also, the water stopped working here, and I really need to pee.
FML SOMEBODY SAVE ME ):

On the bright side, I ate some really yummy shaved ice thing at Caffé Bene yesterday night:

I’m super content when there’s food
